Casey graduated from Princeton University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and pursued a career in the financial services industry at a hedge fund. In 2002, he left the private sector for a position in the New York City Department of Finance during Mayor Bloomberg’s first term. During his tenure at the New York City Department of Finance, Casey worked on improving the administration of various incentives to encourage commercial and residential development in New York City. In January 2007, Casey and his partner, Matthew, relocated to New Jersey to allow Casey to join Mayor Cory A. Booker’s administration as the first Risk Manager for the City of Newark, New Jersey.
During his tenure in Newark, Casey focused on exploring monetizing certain physical city assets, advancing the city’s asset management plan while also helping to address the city’s spiraling employee healthcare benefit costs. After leaving the Booker administration, he spent time engaging in one of his favorite passions – landscaping at his 1953 mid-century modern home in South Orange, New Jersey, where Matthew & he now reside with their two rescue dogs, Moby and Electra, and was ultimately drawn to a career in real estate, which he had contemplated for many years.
Casey brings a unique perspective to the industry – his financial background, his love of architecture and interior design, and his personal experience in buying/selling investment property. He says, “I, ultimately, want to leverage my private and public sector experience to make sure my clients, whether buyers or sellers, are reaping the best return on investment from their transactions.”
He spends his spare time serving on the SAGE Board of Directors, a New York City based non-profit, and supports many other charitable causes. He is a licensed real estate agent in New Jersey focusing on suburban Essex County and the NJ Gold Coast, a member of the Liberty Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
